President and CEO
Markwei Boye holds an Enrolled Agent designation — a specialized license earned by individuals who have passed a rigorous examination administered by the IRS and has shown technical competency in all levels of federal taxation. Besides being a Tax Professional, he is also a Registered Representative. He holds National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) licenses including series 6,7,63, and 65. He is an Adjunct professor at Cornerstone University School of Business teaching primarily business courses including Small Business Management and Taxation. He is a member of the American Bar Association, National Association of Enrolled Agents, National Association of Tax Professionals and National Society of Accountants.

Sasank Boppana, JD, BBA

In May of 2017, Sasank Boppana joined our firm in an Of Counsel role and then transitioned into a permanent position in the Summer of 2018. In addition to aiding our firm’s accounting practice, Sasank specializes in Tax Resolution, Nonprofits, Corporate/Business, Securities, Contracts, and Landlord/Tenant legal issues. Sasank has an innate ability to visualize our business clients’ short and long-term goals. Clients appreciate that he is able to align with them so that he can simplify strategies as well as the time he takes to educate them so that they understand their numbers, projections, timelines, and any impediments that may occur. Sasank has been successful for our clients in Alternative Resolution, Appeals, and Court Litigation settings. Sasank also has a vast local and national network of professionals to quickly connect clients with services that our firm does not perform.
Sasank received his bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Western Michigan University and shortly after completed his CPA Examination. Sasank then decided to pursue a legal degree which he achieved after attending Michigan State University College of Law. Sasank Boppana sits on the Board of Directors of Precision Patriots Baseball – Oakland County, a premier nonprofit travel baseball organization. Sasank also volunteers as the Associate Head Coach for the organization’s 13U team.

Sheila Stanton
Business Manager
Sheila Stanton is a native Detroiter who graduated from Detroit’s Central High School. She is a twenty-five-year veteran of the banking industry, earning titles such as executive level business banker, manager, and personal payday representative. Her expertise in the financial banking areas consistently placed her among top performers earning numerous accolades, awards, and trip incentives. Ms. Stanton holds Master Degrees in Business Administration and Human Services. In 2013, she became an avid community activist via New York Life volunteering at local community functions such as: The Ronald McDonald House, Jalen Rose Academy, Greg Kelser Foundation, and Gleaners Food Bank. Ms. Stanton’s zeal to enrich and enhance the lives of young adults led to her being appointed to the Board of Directors for the WAY ACADEMY in Detroit Michigan, one of the first visionary fully functional Online High Schools in the state of Michigan.
Currently, this dynamic trailblazer lends her talents to Smart Business Tax Solutions. Since 2015, Sheila has taken our administrative services department to another level. She quickly began ‘running things’ and was elevated to Business Manager. Her responsibilities range from chief financial auditor for the reconciliation of current contractual obligations for existing clients to drafting comprehensive recoupment liquidation portfolios for clients who need ‘special’ payment arrangements. In addition, she is the senior point of contact for scheduling and client reclamation based on independent research and document verification. Ms. Stanton is also in charge of preparing and inputting payroll, drafting clients’ IRS payment plans, and submitting documentation for individuals needing Power of Attorney documents, as well as, serving as a certified Notary Public.
Cori Howell
Bookkeeping Analyst
Cori specializes in small business support services; bookkeeping, human resources, payroll, project management, accounts receivables/payables, as well as creating streamlined processes and procedures.
With experience in the automotive, banking, non-profit, educational, retail, and food service industries, Cori brings a wealth of knowledge, and confidence to our office. With an engineering background and decades of management experience, she provides excellent service to small business owners and individuals looking for support services.
Her knowledge of QuickBooks and business reporting adds a service to our clients that we have not offered in the past.
